• Convenient Packaging and Simple to Use. Long Shelf Life – Minimum 3 Years.
Highest quality, double filtered, pure 2-Ethyl-Hexyl Nitrate (2-EHN) cetane improver for raising the cetane value of pump diesel or bio-blended diesel fuels.
Our 2-EHN undergoes a secondary in-house filtering process to ensure any contaminants or moisture are removed. It is then professionally bottled and sealed into chemical-resistant bottles. This guarantees maximum quality, purity, and potency. It also improves shelf life.
2-EHN is the worldwide standard cetane improver for raising the cetane value of pump diesel or bio-blended diesel fuel. It is recognized and used by refineries as a predictable Cetane Number Improver (CNI) to improve the quality of diesel and bio-diesel fuels.
Our 2-EHN is popular with car enthusiasts, fleet operators, and both professional and amateur bio-diesel blenders, as we guarantee the highest purity and potency. We also offer a variety of packaging options, from convenient 220ml dispensing bottles to 1L (with diesel spout), to 5L, 200L and 1000L IBC.

I’ve been using 2ehn (110ml for 60L diesel) together with 110ml of 2T motor oil ( Castol JASO FD and RecLube TC-W3) with similar results.
No visible smoke day or night with brutal acceleration (up to 4000rpm, 5 passengers + luggage) on my 230000km Renault 1.6 dci engine (euro5)
I’ve no way of knowing how often the dpf is being regenerated but I use MecaTech DPF Regenerator every 10000km for good measure.
For comparison, at work I’m driving a Renault Master (euro6) without any fuel additives, of course. Constant check engine lights + anti-pollution warnings despite driving at 2500-3000rpm even in town.
At times it gets so bad that the DPF failure in 800km warning comes on and I have to get it in for a forced regeneration.

I have used this cetane booster for years now in my Jaguar X type 2.0d. It really works wonders. My car runs sweet as a nut, quiet, for a diesel and has a quick response to the throttle. I recently changed my boost pipes for silicone, and the EGR & inlet manifold were really clean, with no gunge build up.

Bought this product for my E class OM642. I have noticed that DPF regen interval changed from 1-2 times per tank to once per 2-3 tanks of fuel. This made me impressed but also curious. I then tried adding 1000ppm an old tractor from early 80’s and a little bobcat (Kubota engine). The tractor used to have difficulties starting when approaching freezing, smoke badly and smell like un-burnt diesel, even when warmed up too. With the 1000pppm added, the smoke went away, the smell is almost gone. Cold starts became much better – just a little white smoke for a few seconds. The Kubota engine didn’t seem to care so much, but the exhaust smell became much less.
After fuel has been sitting in the tank for a couple of weeks, the exhaust smell stated to become worse and after approx. 4 weeks some white smoke had developed again while engine was at operating temp. After having consumed the remaining fuel, the tank was refilled + 1000ppm EHN and the smoke and smell went away less than a minute from restarting the engine… Is it plausible that the EHN slowly decomposes while just sitting in the tank? If someone knows what is going on, please let me know.
BTW I am also adding some TCW3 to the fuel.

Having recently cleaned my fuel system with Archoil AR6400-D MAX I’ve been using the cetane booster on every fill up since. My engine is quieter by far but the most pleasing aspect is the seemingly unlocked power these two products have given me. I always use premium diesel but adding the cetane booster has made the car pull considerably harder. I’m also getting 4mpg more on average than prior to the combined treatments. Best £30 I’ve spent in a long time.

I bought 5L of this a while back and have been using it ever since. I have also used the Archoil 6800 which is also good stuff. It seemed to be more cost effective to buy the 2-EHN in larger quantities and I use it with Archoil 6200 fuel catalyst. I run a 2L 2007 diesel Ford Mondeo, which now has 106,000 miles on the clock. It is more fiddly using both additives than simply using just one product (the 6800), but because I use the 1:500 ratio (100ml to 50L diesel), it offers more control on upping the cetane booster component than you can with just using the 6800. The difference is remarkable; the car runs far more smoothly, performs better all round and I achieve an overall fuel economy of 50mpg at least, more on a long run at steady speed. I fill the tank and it is 120 miles, if not more so, before the needle moves off the full mark on the fuel gauge! I recommend 2-EHN and Archoil 6200 combination highly!
